My works reflect my inner voice which has always guided by being moved by the art I saw all around me whether that was in an art museum or in a magazine or wherever. If I saw something that captivated me, I would copy it in my own way- into a painting. Early works were a jumping off point to find how much I enjoyed painting. Everything stopped and it was just me, the paint, and canvas. I was (and still am) heavily influenced by Jean Michel Basquiat, Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Georg Baselitz, Frank Auerbach, Karel Appel, Asger Jorn, Jackson Pollock, and many others.
